Today I saw an ad In the paper that did say Wanted: An angel Please answer this today. I need someone that's caring Only true ones need apply I anxiously am waiting here For your quick reply. Requirements are easy Just a heart that's filled with care Soft wings that will enfold me When the night begins to scare Gentle hands to brush my tears away And soothe my troubled brow If you can find it in your heart Please apply right now. I know that I won't see you But wish to know you're here My guardian at night And a friend who lends an ear. I know the job is big But it's nice when someone cares So hopefully you'll see my ad And answer all my prayers.
